I got two of my friends dressed up as women, then took them to a pub carpark near our halls basically to keep it simple for my first shoot. I have never really done this before your comments and most importantly help on how i can take better ones next time would be most appreciated.
DAM i have under sized them !! you will have to wait for my prints on thursday. x

ReplyDeleteI don't think these are bad. I quite like the second one from the bottom or the fourth from the top, particularly in terms of composition.
Have you thought about location of photographs?
Perhaps, take some photographs in such locations where you normally walk through. You know, where you'd take a snap of your friends while just walking, in these kind of places maybe.
Get them in a shop window in 'dam and I think they would have a career for themselves haha.

I agree with Diana though...mayb try (if u can get them to agree to) photographing them like walking round town or down a street etc...then it begins to show a "normal" life of a "not so normal" looking person. The fact that the guys look wrong for being dressed as women and in feminine clothes, then begins to work as a critique on the way that as a society these days the norm is to mock men for showing their feminine sides...then you perhaps have somewhere to go with it and more of a stable idea behind it....perhaps? well thats what I think of with these photos and that's what I would do :)
